These rebates are for improvements that boost your home’s energy efficiency like insulation, air sealing, and upgrading heating and cooling systems.

Eligibility for HOMES Rebates

To qualify, you’ll need to:

  • Confirm your income. Rebates depend on household income and estimated energy savings.
  • Get a free home assessment
  • Select a Registered Contractor
  • Apply for your rebate

Once your income is verified, you will work with a Registered Contractor who will install eligible upgrades and submit your rebate application for you.

ELIGIBILITY

Eligibility for income-qualified rebates is based on your income and modeled energy savings at the installation address. You might be eligible for higher incentives, including insulation and air sealing improvements and/or qualifying HVAC improvements depending on income verification. Rebate projects must achieve a minimum of 20% modeled energy savings.

If you’re a renter, your property owner needs to sign a project authorization form on your behalf, along with supporting documents.

HOW IT WORKS

The process is simple but does require income verification and some paperwork. You can choose from a list of Registered Contractors to get started. Once the improvements are complete, the program provides a rebate to help cover the costs. This makes the initial investment more affordable and ensures long-term savings on your energy bills.

Five-step process: gather paperwork, apply for program, get energy assessment, choose a contractor, complete home upgrade.
  • Upload proof of income OR enrollment in a recognized federal program.
  • HOMES rebate applications require 12 months of utility bills for energy modeling.
  • Rebates depend on household income and energy savings.
  • Higher energy savings mean higher rebates.
  • We assist in verifying your income qualification.
  • Understand your home’s energy use with a professional assessment.
